Nannini Etnea 1000g
The "Etnea" combines the spicy Canephora (Robusta) with full-bodied Arabica coffees. 1000g bag with aroma valve, in bean.
At the beginning of the last century, Guido Nannini , who was just 20 years old, returned to Siena from Milan after successfully completing his training as a confectioner. His flair for business made him interested in learning the technique of coffee roasting from South Americans who happened to spend some time in Siena. In 1909 he acquired a licence to roast coffee, which was still very little known, and a small shop. His proverbial nose led him to be the first to serve there a very pleasant drink made from a revolutionary steam engine by the then completely unknown manufacturer Pavoni, whom he knew from his time in Milan - a caffe espresso. His innovative establishment was first mentioned in the Sienese travel guide in 1911 as "Bar Ideale". Step by step, Nannini added to his activities. In addition to coffee, he produced liqueurs and invented those typical Sienese sweets that made the name Nannini famous all over the world.
The typical Nannini roasts represent three geographical regions of Italy, the north, the centre and the south. Coffee is a natural product. Taste and character are subject to strong variations, so that year after year only obsessive search can find and select the right origins to maintain quality and taste.
The "Etnea" is a true Sicilian blend and represents Italy's hot south. Roasted to the final stage just before the 2nd crack (Italian roast), this espresso combines the spicy roast and grain notes of the Canephora (RobustaVisually, the Robusta can be recognized by its small, roundish shape and the straight seam.
