Double-walled glasses have an insulating effect, with the air space between the two layers of glass creating a thermal barrier. This keeps the outer glass at a pleasant, consistent temperature without getting hot. The double-walled glass also creates a unique visual effect: the drink appears to be floating inside the glass.
