But there's so much more! In this blog post, we'll show you some simple recipes using syrup—and all the delicious treats you can whip up with ODK's syrup varieties from our Espresso Perfetto online shop.

The best part: It takes almost no effort. The ODK syrups from our "Genusswelt " line come in five varieties. For orders within Germany, they’ll be delivered to you in 1–3 business days, and with just one bottle in your kitchen, there’s no limit to the sweet creations you can make.

01 · Product Line

All syrup varieties from our " Espresso Perfetto " online store

In our online store, you’ll find a variety of ODK syrups: caramel, chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, and amaretto. All of these flavors are perfect for easily and creatively enhancing coffee, matcha, milkshakes, or desserts. Their liquid consistency makes them easy to use—whether at home, in a café, or in a restaurant.

1–2tablespoons per drink

As a general rule for measuring out the amount, use 1–2 tablespoons per drink, depending on how sweet you want it. It’s best to start small and adjust to taste—you can always add more, but taking some out is a bit tricky.

02 · Classic Hot Coffee Drinks

Warm Coffee Classics with Syrup

Just about any coffee drink can be spiced up with a little syrup—both in terms of flavor and appearance. A latte macchiato in a glass looks especially beautiful when the inside of the glass is decorated with a little chocolate, caramel, or amaretto syrup, and it tastes just a little bit more special right away.

Here are our favorite hot coffee syrup recipes:

Hot · Fall

Cinnamon Cappuccino with Cinnamon Syrup

The fall version of the classic cappuccino. Unlike ground cinnamon, cinnamon syrup dissolves completely, has a more intense flavor, and leaves no powder residue at the bottom of the cup.

Your Shopping List

  • 1 shot of espresso
  • 100–120 ml milk or a milk alternative
  • 1 tablespoon ODK cinnamon syrup
  • A pinch of cinnamon for dusting

Here's how it works

  1. Stir the cinnamon syrup directly into the freshly brewed espresso in a cup.
  2. Frot the milk until it's creamy, then pour it over the espresso.
  3. Finish by sprinkling a pinch of cinnamon on top—and there you have it: the coziest cappuccino of the season.
Hot · Coffee Meets Chocolate

Mocha with chocolate syrup

For anyone who can't decide between coffee and hot chocolate, the mocha is the answer. After all, why not just combine the two?

Your Shopping List

  • 1 shot of espresso
  • 150 ml milk or milk alternative
  • 1–2 tablespoons ODK chocolate syrup
  • Optional: Whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish

Here's how it works

  1. Stir the chocolate syrup into the hot espresso until it has completely dissolved.
  2. Heat the milk, froth it slightly, and pour it in.
  3. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, if desired.
No coffee · Family-friendly

Hot chocolate with syrup—but without coffee!

Of course, you don't necessarily need coffee to cozy up with a warm drink. For a family-friendly version, you can also jazz up classic hot chocolate with a little syrup: For an extra chocolate kick, simply add some chocolate syrup—or choose one of the other varieties for more subtle flavors.

03 · Cold Drinks

Cold Matcha and Coffee Drinks with Syrup

These syrups also shine when served cold: You can easily elevate a cold brew or a classic iced latte—just prepare the drink as usual, add a splash of caramel or vanilla syrup, and you’ve got the next summer hit.

But you can get even more creative. Here are two recipes for anyone who likes to serve their coffee break on ice.

Cold · Matcha

Iced Vanilla Matcha

The combination of mild vanilla syrup and slightly tart matcha creates an exciting flavor—and it looks really good in a clear glass, too.

Your Shopping List

Here's how it works

  1. Pour the vanilla syrup and ice cubes into a tall, clear glass.
  2. Fill the glass about two-thirds full with cold milk.
  3. In a bowl, whisk the matcha with 3–4 tablespoons of hot water (70–80 °C) until it is creamy and free of lumps.
  4. Pour the prepared matcha into the glass as the top layer—and there you have it: a creamy, eye-catching treat.
Cold · Italian

Amaretto Shakerato Recipe

The Shakerato is Italy's most elegant iced coffee—and it tastes even better with a splash of amaretto syrup!

Your Shopping List

  • 1–2 shots of espresso
  • 1–2 tablespoons ODK Amaretto syrup
  • 5–6 ice cubes
  • A shaker or, alternatively, a jar that seals tightly

Here's how it works

  1. Add freshly brewed espresso, amaretto syrup, and ice cubes to the shaker.
  2. Shake everything vigorously for about 15–20 seconds, until a fine layer of foam forms.
  3. Pour the Shakerato through a strainer into a chilled glass. The creamy foam will form on its own.

Desserts andSweetSnacks with Syrup

Syrup can do more than just enhance coffee. ODK varieties also shine in the kitchen. From classic Italian desserts to breakfast pancakes: Here are four ideas that show just how versatile a bottle of syrup can be.

Dessert · Alcohol-Free

Tiramisu with Amaretto Syrup

This Italian classic takes on a subtle marzipan flavor with amaretto syrup—perfect for anyone who wants to skip the alcohol in amaretto liqueur. You can find the full recipe for a classic tiramisu in detail on our tiramisu blog.

For the syrup alternative, simply mix the amaretto syrup with espresso instead of amaretto liqueur, and follow the rest of the recipe as usual.

The syrup is much sweeter than the liqueur. If you don't like it quite as sweet, just use a little less.

Breakfast · Sweet

Pancakes with Syrup

Whether for breakfast or as a sweet main meal, pancakes become the most delicious meal of the day when topped with cinnamon, chocolate, or caramel syrup.

Simply make pancakes using your favorite recipe, drizzle them generously with your favorite kind of syrup, and top them as you like with fresh fruit, cinnamon and sugar, or whatever else your heart desires.

Dessert · 2 minutes

Affogato with Caramel Syrup

Probably the fastest dessert in Italy: With a caramel finish, it turns into a little treat in just two minutes.

Your Shopping List

  • 1–2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • 1 shot of freshly brewed espresso
  • 1 tablespoon ODK caramel syrup

Here's how it works

  1. Scoop the vanilla ice cream into a small glass or dessert bowl.
  2. Pour the hot espresso directly over it.
  3. To finish, drizzle with caramel syrup and enjoy immediately.
Cold · Creamy

Milkshake with Syrup

Creamy, cold, and ready in just a few minutes: With ODK syrups, you can turn milk and ice cream into a milkshake that can easily rival any ice cream shop.

Your Shopping List

  • 200 ml cold milk or milk alternative
  • 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • 1–2 tablespoons ODK syrup of your choice—chocolate, caramel, or vanilla work especially well
  • 3–4 ice cubes
  • Optional: Whipped cream and a drizzle of syrup for garnish

Here's how it works

  1. Put the milk, vanilla ice cream, syrup, and ice cubes in a blender or shaker and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour the milkshake into a tall glass.
  3. Top with whipped cream as desired and garnish with an extra drizzle of syrup.

For a coffee version, simply blend in a cooled shot of espresso. This turns the milkshake into a frappé-like treat.
