Founded in 1905 by Alberto Danesi, the Roman gourmet roastery was one of the oldest to shape the tradition of Italian espresso culture in the eternal city, now in its fourth generation. Certified by the Protective Association of Traditional Italian Espresso INEI, Caffe Danesi is now known worldwide as an ambassador for espresso "made in Italy".
At Danesi Doppio by roasting in 2 roasts, the phase between the 1st and 2nd crack is particularly long, burning off the acids and creating a full-bodied espresso.
The long separate roasting of the beans creates a bouquet rich in contrast, combining racy West African with mild Brazilian and Colombian Arabica coffees. An espresso with cult status.
This espresso shines with excellent richness and persistent, intense length as an espresso and just as a Doppio and is also very well suited for the preparation of espresso specialties with milk, such as cappuccino and latte macchiato. It is not suitable for preparation as filter coffee or on fully automatic machines.
