Interaction of drinks
Coffee with a shot:
The fact that coffee and alcohol enjoy great popularity in our society as drinks for pleasure goes back centuries. People often - or perhaps too rarely - meet up for a coffee or a drink. The drink may not necessarily be the main focus, but it is an integral part of the get-together and a popular occasion.

Espresso cocktails for spring
Spring brings with it fresh, vibrant flavors - so why not spice up your coffee drinks too? Espresso cocktails are not only incredibly versatile, they can also be made in no time at all.
We have put together some of our highlights for you here:
Espresso Martini
Let's start with an all-time favorite classic: the Espresso Martini! Have a look at the own contribution about it. It is probably the first thing most people associate with the combination of coffee and a shot of alcohol, and rightly so. Here's how to conjure up the bar hit in your home:
- 1 shot of fresh espresso
- 50 ml vodka
- 25 ml coffee liqueur (e.g. Kahlúa)
- Ice cubes
Pour everything into a shaker, shake vigorously and strain into a martin glass. Those who like to experiment can also add an orange zest or fresh mint for a springtime accent.

Espresso tonic with a twist
Also the Espresso Tonic in a recent article as a delicious refreshment for the summer. Tonic is often used as a mixed drink in cocktails. This also works well in combination with coffee:
- 1 shot of espresso
- 150 ml tonic water
- 25 ml gin
Pour the gin and tonic over ice, slowly add the espresso and garnish with a slice of lemon.
Vanilla Amaretto Shakerato
For a fruity and nutty version of Italian shakerato, you need:
- 1 shot of espresso
- 20 ml amaretto
- 10 ml vanilla syrup
Shake everything with ice and serve well chilled. A hint of nutmeg on top makes it even better. A few successful refreshments that make you look forward to summer!
Dessert drinks with coffee and a shot of alcohol
After a sumptuous dinner, there's nothing better than a little sweet temptation. Dessert drinks with coffee and alcohol are both dessert and digestif - two in one!

This Italian dessert is unbeatably simple, but spectacular in taste:
- Put the vanilla ice cream in a bowl

- Add a dash of Baileys, Amaretto or coffee liqueur.
- Serve immediately before the ice cream melts completely.
- Optionally, you can garnish with chopped nuts or chocolate shavings.
Coffee punch
Perfect for convivial evenings in the garden or on the balcony. Put the following in a pot:
- 500 ml freshly brewed coffee
- 200 ml dark rum
- 50 g brown sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Heat the mixture slowly (do not boil!), stir well and serve in heat-resistant glasses topped with cream.

For fans of sweet drinks, inspired by a crème brûlée dessert. Mix:
- 1 shot of espresso
- 30 ml vanilla vodka
- 20 ml caramel liqueur
- Pour everything into a shaker, shake over ice and pour into a glass.
- For a crunchy effect, you can decorate the rim of the glass with caramel sauce and brown sugar.
The perfect shot for your coffee - the best combinations of spirits
Not every spirit harmonizes equally well with coffee. Here is an overview of which spirits bring a special magic to your cup:
- AmarettoThis sweet, almondy liqueur goes perfectly with espresso. A simple shot in your coffee turns it into ``Caffè Amaretto`` - elegant and simple.
- Baileys Irish CreamBaileys gives your coffee a creamy, creamy note. Particularly suitable for an Irish coffee or as a small add-on in a cappuccino.
- RumWhite or dark rum goes particularly well with intense coffee. Dark rum brings sweet and spicy notes such as vanilla and caramel - perfect for a Cuban-style coffee.
- Coffee liqueurWhether Kahlúa or Tia Maria - coffee liqueur enhances the aroma of your coffee and complements the bitterness with sweet, round notes.
